Antioch Lutheran Preschool
At Antioch Lutheran Preschool, our mission is to offer children of our community a distinctively Christian program, dedicated to excellence in education and rooted in the mission of our congregation, to teach, to grow, and to serve the people of God. Scroll down for more information.
Antioch Lutheran Preschool offers materials and activities that are challenging and stimulating to children’s developmental needs. Large and small group instruction and activities provide your child with the opportunities to gain confidence and skills and work one-to-one with credentialed teachers in specific areas of development in our state licensed facility.
The academic program is complemented by Christian education in a warm and nurturing environment. Readiness skills are developed in reading and math which are key core curriculum areas. Curriculum plans provide both child-directed and teacher-structured activities based upon themes. Open choice, circle time, and small group center rotation includes structured large motor activities, language activities, and math. Music will benefit children by encouraging phonics, vocabulary, and large muscle development and inspire spirituality. Our science curriculum reinforces themes.
Our instruction focuses on kindergarten readiness and Michigan Standards of Preschool Readiness are followed. Our curriculum is state aligned.
Respect for individual differences will be combined with a goal of group fellowship. Each child is unique and special.
We provide a Christian program; however we do not discriminate in admissions or determinations of enrollment on the basis of race, sex, color, national origin or religion. Our best advertisement is word of mouth from the families of our congregation and community!
